Exhibition design and the environment

We all have a responsibility for the impact our activities have on our environment. Exhibition stands and events are no exception. Which is why, at Snowfire, we have a clear policy about reducing waste and developing alternative solutions that reduce the overall environmental impact of events or exhibitions.

The industry standard, as a whole, is often described as ‘build and burn’, where stands are temporary and materials are only used once before being destroyed.

At Snowfire, we take environment and sustainability issues into consideration, at the design and specification stage, whilst still providing cost effective and eye catching solutions. In short, good design doesn’t have to cost the earth.

And going beyond any environmental compliance can also bring you great business benefits. Being socially and environmentally responsible isn’t just a legal duty: it also affects your bottom line and the long-term success of your business.

At Snowfire we have a policy in place for reducing waste in all its forms and we offer a green build package that includes:

  • A pro-active, responsible approach to environmental concerns
  • Creative use of cost-effective, sustainable natural materials and local resources
  • Recycling or reusing where possible (we recycle paper, timber, metal and event carpet)
  • Installations designed to minimise waste to landfill
  • Stands and installations designed and specified with reusability in mind
  • An online accounting system that’s paperless
